Terms of Service

Effective Date: May 7, 2026

Website: https://www.kunbord.com

Service Provider: Haglund Software

Contact: support@kunbord.com

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Kunbord, a privacy-friendly Kanban board software service provided by Haglund Software through https://www.kunbord.com and related online services. By creating an account, accessing the website, starting a free trial, purchasing a subscription, or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the service. If you use the service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and references to "you" include that organization where applicable.

1. The Service

Kunbord allows users to create and manage Kanban-style boards, workspaces, lists, cards, tasks, and related productivity content. The service is provided online as software-as-a-service and may include free and paid features, account management tools, subscription features, analytics, security functions, and integrations with third-party providers.

The service is currently provided for website and web application use only. These Terms do not cover a separate mobile app, desktop app, downloadable software, or browser extension unless we expressly state otherwise.

Kunbord is a productivity and project management tool. It is not designed for emergency use, safety-critical systems, medical decisions, legal advice, financial advice, regulated recordkeeping, child-directed services, or other high-risk use unless we expressly agree to that use in writing.

2. Accounts and Login

You may need an account to use some or all parts of the service. Account creation and authentication may be handled through Clerk, including login by email, Google, and GitHub. You must provide accurate account information and keep your login credentials secure.

  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must not share access credentials, misuse another person’s account, or attempt to bypass authentication controls.
  • You must promptly notify us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
  • We may suspend or restrict account access where necessary to protect the service, prevent abuse, comply with law, or enforce these Terms.

3. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement or have appropriate permission from a parent, guardian, employer, or authorized representative to use the service. Kunbord is not directed to children under the age of 13. If you are using the service for business purposes, you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with all laws that apply to your organization and data.

4. Plans, Free Trial, and Subscriptions

Kunbord may offer a free plan with usage limitations, such as limits on workspaces, boards, features, storage, or other service capacity. We may also offer a paid Super plan or other paid plans. Current pricing, billing frequency, included features, trial terms, and plan limits are shown at checkout or inside the service and may change over time.

New users may be offered a 30-day free trial for the Super plan. A credit card or payment method may be required to start the trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your selected paid subscription may begin automatically and your payment method may be charged according to the plan selected at checkout.

Subscription management, billing, and cancellation may be handled through the Clerk-provided dashboard, with Stripe supporting payment processing where applicable. You are responsible for reviewing the checkout details before purchase and managing your subscription before renewal or the end of a free trial.

You are responsible for making sure your cancellation is completed before the end of the free trial or before the next renewal date. If the checkout flow asks you to acknowledge automatic renewal, immediate access, or digital service delivery, that acknowledgement may affect your refund or statutory withdrawal rights to the extent permitted by applicable law.

5. Payment, Renewal, and Cancellation

Paid subscriptions are charged in US dollars unless another currency is shown at checkout. Fees may be billed monthly, annually, or according to the billing period shown at checkout. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless canceled before the renewal date.

Before you complete a paid order, the checkout or subscription flow should display the applicable plan, price, billing period, renewal terms, trial terms where applicable, and cancellation information. If a button or similar function creates a payment obligation, it should clearly indicate that payment is required, subject to the actual checkout provider flow and mandatory law.

  • You authorize the applicable payment provider to charge your selected payment method for subscription fees, renewals, taxes, and other charges shown at checkout.
  • You may cancel your paid plan or trial through the available account or Clerk dashboard tools, where available.
  • Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically create a refund for past charges, unless required by law or expressly approved under our Refund Policy.
  • If payment fails, we may suspend, downgrade, restrict, or terminate paid features until payment is resolved.

Our Refund Policy forms part of these Terms and explains our refund rules, billing review process, statutory consumer rights, and no-refund position after the free trial where permitted by law.

We may change prices or plan features from time to time. For existing paid users, material pricing changes will normally apply from the next renewal period or as otherwise explained in the notice or checkout flow, subject to mandatory law.

6. User Content

You may create, submit, store, or process content in Kunbord, including boards, workspaces, cards, lists, task descriptions, labels, metadata, and related productivity content. You retain ownership of your content. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, transmit, display, back up, process, and otherwise use your content only as reasonably necessary to provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, improve, and support the service.

You are responsible for your content and for ensuring that you have the right to use, upload, store, or process it. You must not submit content that is illegal, infringing, harmful, abusive, malicious, fraudulent, or otherwise prohibited by these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

7. User-Generated Content Limits

Kunbord is primarily a private productivity and task management service. Unless we expressly provide sharing or publishing features, your content is not intended to be publicly published through the service. If you use any sharing, export, collaboration, invitation, or public access feature that may be introduced, you are responsible for who can access the content and for complying with applicable privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, and data protection obligations.

8. Privacy and Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose, and protect personal information. By using the service, you acknowledge that your personal information will be processed as described in the Privacy Policy.

If you use Kunbord to process personal information about other people, you are responsible for ensuring that you have a lawful basis, appropriate notices, access controls, user permissions, and any required contractual terms. Business users that require Kunbord to act as a processor for third-party personal data should contact us before using the service for regulated, business-critical, or high-volume personal data processing, as a separate data processing agreement may be required.

9. Third-Party Services

Kunbord depends on third-party providers, including Clerk, Stripe, Neon, Railway, Umami, and Sentry. These providers may have their own terms, privacy policies, availability limits, and technical requirements. We are not responsible for third-party services outside our reasonable control, but we use them to provide authentication, payments, database storage, hosting, analytics, error monitoring, and related infrastructure.

10. Acceptable Use

You must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. You must not misuse the service, interfere with service security, access systems without authorization, scrape or harvest data, upload malware, conduct spam, violate intellectual property rights, process unlawful content, or use the service in a way that harms us, other users, or third parties.

11. Service Availability and Changes

We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available access. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, updates, security issues, provider outages, technical problems, or events beyond our reasonable control. Unless a separate written service level agreement is signed, no specific uptime, support response time, or service credit commitment applies.

We may modify, improve, limit, suspend, discontinue, or replace features from time to time. We will try to avoid materially reducing paid features during an active billing period without a reasonable reason, but some changes may be necessary for security, legal compliance, provider changes, product development, or operational reasons.

12. Intellectual Property

Haglund Software and its licensors own all rights, title, and interest in the service, website, software, design, branding, logos, documentation, templates, interfaces, and other materials, except for your user content and third-party materials. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service according to these Terms.

  • You must not copy, sell, resell, license, sublicense, distribute, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the service except where expressly permitted by law.
  • You must not remove proprietary notices, misrepresent ownership, or use our branding without permission.
  • Feedback you provide may be used by us without restriction or compensation, unless we separately agree otherwise.

13. Security and Encryption

Kunbord is designed as a privacy-friendly service and uses security measures to protect user information, including encryption and access controls where appropriate. However, no online service, storage system, or transmission method is completely secure. You are responsible for using strong account security, protecting your devices, and deciding whether Kunbord is suitable for the information you store.

14. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, downgrade, or terminate your access if we reasonably believe that you have breached these Terms, violated the Acceptable Use Policy, failed to pay fees, created security risks, used the service unlawfully, caused harm to the service or others, or if suspension is required by law or a provider.

You may stop using the service at any time. Termination or cancellation does not remove your obligation to pay fees already incurred, does not automatically create a refund, and does not affect provisions that should reasonably survive termination, such as payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute terms, privacy and data protection obligations, and enforcement rights.

15. Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will meet every requirement, be uninterrupted, be error-free, preserve all content without risk, or be suitable for every business, legal, compliance, recordkeeping, project management, or security purpose. You are responsible for maintaining appropriate backups of important information where necessary.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of goodwill, business interruption, loss or corruption of data, unauthorized access caused by your failure to secure your account, or losses caused by third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including mandatory consumer rights, liability for intentional misconduct, or other rights that cannot legally be waived.

17. Indemnity

If you use the service for business purposes, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Haglund Software from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, your breach of law, or your infringement of third-party rights, except to the extent caused by our own unlawful conduct.

18. Consumer Rights

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit mandatory rights available to consumers under Norwegian, European Economic Area, European Union, or other applicable consumer protection law. If you are a consumer and mandatory law gives you rights that conflict with these Terms, those mandatory rights apply.

For consumers, any statutory withdrawal, refund, cancellation, digital service conformity, or complaint rights that cannot legally be excluded will continue to apply. However, where permitted by law, access to the digital service, use of the 30-day trial, express consent to immediate digital delivery, or acknowledgement of loss of withdrawal rights may limit refund availability after the service has started.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be effective when posted on the website or otherwise made available, unless a later effective date is stated. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate. Continued use of the service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

20. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict of law rules. Courts in Norway will have jurisdiction to hear disputes, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rules that give you the right to bring claims in another location or before another competent authority.
