This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, billing concerns, statutory withdrawal rights, and subscription-related payment issues are handled for Kunbord, an online subscription-based Kanban board service provided by Haglund Software.
Kunbord is a digital software-as-a-service platform. It does not involve physical goods, shipping, return labels, exchanges, restocking, or physical returns. This Policy should be read together with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. 30-Day Free Trial
Kunbord offers a 30-day free trial for new users of the Super plan or other eligible subscription services. The free trial allows you to review the service before a paid subscription begins.
A credit card or payment method may be required to start the trial. You are responsible for evaluating the service during the trial and canceling before the trial ends if you do not want the paid subscription to begin. If the checkout flow provides information about automatic renewal or asks for confirmation of immediate digital service access, you should review that information carefully before starting the trial or paid plan.
If you do not cancel before the end of the 30-day free trial, your selected paid subscription may begin automatically and your payment method may be charged according to the plan selected at checkout.
2. General No-Refund Policy
Because Kunbord provides a 30-day free trial before paid subscription use, our general commercial policy is that subscription payments are final and non-refundable once charged, except where required by mandatory consumer law or where we expressly approve a refund at our discretion.
Refunds are not normally provided for:
- failure to cancel before the end of a free trial;
- failure to cancel before a renewal date;
- unused time in a billing period;
- partial use of a paid subscription;
- change of mind after the paid subscription starts;
- lack of use after purchase;
- downgrades or cancellations after a charge has already occurred;
- discounted, promotional, or trial-related subscription offers; or
- account suspension or termination caused by breach of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy.
3. Subscription Cancellation
Users can cancel their Super trial or paid subscription through the available Clerk-provided dashboard or any other account management tools made available through Kunbord. Cancellation stops future renewal charges, but it does not automatically refund charges that have already been made.
If you cancel during a paid billing period, you may retain access to paid features until the end of the current billing period unless the account is suspended or terminated for misuse, non-payment, fraud, legal reasons, or breach of our Terms of Service.
4. Statutory Withdrawal and Mandatory Consumer Rights
If you are a consumer in Norway, the European Economic Area, the European Union, or another location with mandatory consumer protection laws, you may have statutory rights that cannot be excluded by this Policy. Nothing in this Policy is intended to limit mandatory rights that apply to you by law.
For distance contracts, consumers may have a statutory withdrawal period, commonly 14 days from the date the service contract is agreed. However, withdrawal rights for digital services may be affected if you request or agree that the service starts during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that this may affect your right to withdraw, depending on applicable law and the checkout process.
For digital services or digital content, the right of withdrawal may be affected if you expressly request or agree that the service starts during the withdrawal period and acknowledge that your withdrawal right may be lost or reduced once the service has been fully performed or digital access has started, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Any required statutory withdrawal information or standard withdrawal form should be provided through the website, checkout flow, account area, or support contact where required by law.
If mandatory law requires us to provide a refund, cancellation right, correction, price reduction, or other remedy, we will comply with that law even if our general commercial policy says that refunds are not normally provided.
5. Billing Errors and Duplicate Charges
If you believe you were charged incorrectly, charged twice, charged after a confirmed cancellation, or charged because of a technical billing error, please contact us at support@kunbord.com. We will review the issue and, if we confirm an error, we may correct the charge, issue a refund, or take another appropriate step.
6. Service Problems
Kunbord is provided as an online software service. Temporary outages, bugs, maintenance, third-party provider issues, feature limitations, provider outages, or feature changes do not automatically create a refund right unless mandatory law requires otherwise, we expressly agree to a refund or credit in writing, or a separate written service level agreement provides a specific remedy. If you experience a technical issue, please contact support so we can investigate.
7. Refunds for Subscription Services
Refunds are generally not allowed for subscription services after payment has been taken, except where required by mandatory law, where a billing error is confirmed, or where we approve a refund at our discretion. Any discretionary refund decision does not create an obligation to provide similar refunds in the future.
8. Discounted or Promotional Plans
Discounted, promotional, trial-based, or limited-time offers are non-refundable unless mandatory law requires otherwise or we expressly state different refund terms at the time of purchase.
9. Abuse, Fraud, and Policy Violations
We reserve the right to deny refund requests where we reasonably suspect abuse, fraud, repeated trial abuse, chargeback abuse, payment manipulation, violation of our Terms of Service, violation of our Acceptable Use Policy, or misuse of Kunbord.
10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a billing concern, please contact us first so we can review and try to resolve the issue directly. If you submit a chargeback or payment dispute without giving us a reasonable opportunity to resolve the matter, we may suspend or restrict your account while the dispute is investigated. We may provide relevant account, subscription, billing, and usage records to the payment provider where necessary to respond to a chargeback or payment dispute.
11. How to Request a Refund or Billing Review
To request a refund, statutory withdrawal, or billing review, contact us by email at support@kunbord.com. If you are exercising a statutory withdrawal right, you may use any clear statement that explains your decision to withdraw from the contract, or any standard withdrawal form made available where required by law. Your request should include:
- your full name;
- the email address connected to your Kunbord account;
- the date and amount of the charge;
- the reason for your request;
- whether you are requesting a statutory withdrawal, refund, billing correction, or cancellation confirmation;
- any relevant payment reference, invoice number, receipt, screenshot, or supporting details; and
- your country of residence, if your request is based on mandatory consumer rights.
We may ask for additional information if reasonably needed to verify your account, review the payment, assess your legal rights, prevent fraud, or process the request securely.
12. Review and Processing Times
We aim to review refund and billing requests within a reasonable time. The maximum time frame for reviewing a refund request is 14 days after we receive the required information from you.
If a refund is approved, we will process it within 14 days using the original payment method where possible, unless another method is required or permitted by law or the payment provider. Your bank, card issuer, payment provider, or subscription provider may take additional time to make the funds available.
We do not automatically send confirmation emails for every processed request unless required by law or necessary to confirm the outcome. However, we may contact you by email if more information is needed or to confirm the result of our review.
13. No Physical Returns
Kunbord is a digital SaaS service. There are no physical products to return. No return shipping, return address, restocking fee, exchange process, or physical goods inspection applies to Kunbord subscriptions.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our service, pricing, subscription model, legal obligations, payment providers, or business practices. The updated version will be effective when posted on our website or otherwise made available, unless a later effective date is stated.
